Senior Integrated Project (SIP)

Possible SIP topics are film, literature, and cultural studies in the Spanish-speaking world.

SIPs in the Spanish department must be written in Spanish. If a student wishes to work with a Spanish faculty member on a SIP written in English, they should register for a LANG or IDSY SIP.

SPAN 301 and one 400 level course in Spanish are required to undertake a SIP in Spanish.

Students considering writing a SIP in the Spanish Department must meet with Spanish faculty during spring quarter of their junior year to establish a research and writing timeline.

SIP Proposal Deadlines

For a Fall Quarter SIP:
1st draft of proposal is due 2nd week of Spring Quarter
2nd draft of proposal is due 4th week of Spring Quarter

For a Winter Quarter SIP:
1st draft of proposal is due 2nd week of Fall Quarter
2nd draft of proposal is due 4th week of Fall Quarter
